In an effort to evolve the patient’s eye exam experience, VSP launched an app where a practice can conduct and log the entire patient journey through an iPad. One-Touch-To-Optical, or “otto” for short, allows the staff to conduct check-in, eye exams, patient billing and deployment of future appointment reminders. The end result not only untethers the optometrist from their desk, but saves a large amount of paperwork. The namesake guide serves as a friendly companion, which humanizes an otherwise sterile and unfriendly-seeming process. I created the branding, UX design, app design and website design for the project.
